Jim Stutzman Chevrolet Ride For the Children

Many months ago I came up with the idea to do a
charity ride to raise money for a good cause.
I decided to approach Barbara Grove of
Grove's Winchester Harley-Davidson with
the idea and we decided together that we
wanted to do and we were going to make
it happen with all monies raised to go 100%
to the Evans Home For Children.
As the warmer months were approaching
we narrowed the plans down and finalized the
ride to be approximately 1,000 miles long to
the Eastern Shore of Maryland in September.
During the week's approaching our departure,
local businesses and caring citizens
made donations to support us.
September 11, 2013 we put our kickstands up along
with Jeanett Dillion and started our journey on
the Jim Stutzman Chevrolet Ride For the Children.
We traveled to the shores of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia,
saw some amazing sights, met some wonderful people,
took some incredible pictures, and managed to achieve our goal.
Our Ride For the Children raised over
$5,000 (exact amount tbd) for the Evans Home For Children.

The fund raising isn't over yet.
Our ride was the prelude for Rock For the Children
which is taking place November 9, 2013 at
Blue Fox Billiards where local bands will play an
event with all proceeds also
benefiting the Evans Home For Children.
More details will follow as the date gets closer.

I can't begin to express my gratitude to Barbara Grove
for helping me make this idea become a reality.
You are an amazing woman that cares about
our community and are truly an inspiration.
I also want to thank Jim Stutzman Chevrolet for
getting on board to support us and everyone
else who was generous by making a donation.
I thank you and I'm sure that all the children
at the Evans Home For Children thank you!  God bless!
