There were two tickets matching all the numbers in Wednesday night's record $580 million Powerball lottery. They were sold in Arizona and Missouri. Several tickets are good for the second-tier $1 million prize including four sold in Virginia and one in Maryland. The winning numbers are 5-16-22-23-29 with a Powerball of 6. The record jackpot for the game brought very strong sales across the 42 states that offer the game, plus D.C. and the Virgin Islands. Virginia Lottery officials estimated over 9,000 tickets sold per minute statewide at peak times Wednesday.
