A 17-year-old Stephenson male is dead following aN early Thursday shooting. The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded around 12:05 a.m. to the 200 block of Monastery Ridge Road to a call from a homeowner who reported his son had been shot dead amidst an altercation involving the father and two males at the front door. Authorities haven't released the victim's name with The Winchester Star saying it's believed to be James Wood High School senior Rhett Goldizen. The suspects fled in a large SUV, possibly a Ford, and are described as white males in their 20's, one approximately 5'11" with a beard and mustache. The other suspect had brown hair, a mustache and a beard. Crime Solvers is taking anonymous tips at 665-TIPS.
