Trinity Episcopal Church will observe the Feast of St. Nicholas on Sunday, Dec. 6.
“St. Nick” will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service and visit cars in the parking lot afterward. Trinity Episcopal, at 200 W. King St. in downtown Martinsburg, offers services online, and people are welcome to view them on their digital devices in the parking lot behind the church. Communion is offered to those in their vehicles at the end of each service.
Dec. 6 is a day to honor Nicholas, the patron saint for children and sailors, among other occupations and groups of people. He also is known as Santa (the famous poem about Santa Claus, “The Night before Christmas,” even refers to him as “St. Nick.”).
Information about St. Nicholas, crafts, coloring projects and many other activities can be found at stnicholascenter.org.
